What information do we collect?

We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information and purchase history. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. We also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, communications); payment details (including credit card information), comments, feedback, product reviews, recommendations, and personal profile.  When you register an account with www.alex-watts.co.uk we collect the following information that you provide:

  • First name

  • Last Name

  • Address

Within your profile you can also add and amend this data.

 

In order to provide gift fulfilment services, you may need to provide us with the data of a third party (i.e the name and address of the recipient).  We will not use this information for anything other than providing the services for which the information was supplied.

When you conduct a transaction on our website or use one of the contact forms,  as part of the process, we collect personal information you give us such as your name, address, phone number and email address. Your personal information will be used for the specific reasons stated above only.

We collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:

My company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 

 

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

How do we communicate with our site visitors?

We may contact you to notify you regarding your account, to troubleshoot problems with your account, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or monies owed, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, to send updates about our company, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. For these purposes we may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, and postal mail.

  2. Right to access your data when requested - you are entitled to request the information we store on you

  3. The right to rectification - you may contact us to amend, update or complete any stored information relating to you.  Your own personal data can be updated or amended by accesses your account.

  4. The right to erasure - you may request erasure of the data stored on you.

  5. The right to restrict processing - you are entitled to request that your information is stored but not processed.  In the unlikely event that a request for data deletion is denied, you may want to request that it is instead not processed.

  6. The right to data portability - you have the right to receive the data stored on you in a portable format.

  7. The right to object - you are entitled to request that processing of your data is ceased, commonly relating to the refusal of direct marketing.  You can request to stop receiving marketing emails by contacting the above email address.

The right to avoid automated decision-making - you have the right to object to automated decision-making and profiling and can request human involvement in the processing of your data.  Automated decision-making is minimal, if at all present in the running of this website as I carry-out data processing myself; however, I will make it clear where this occurs if applicable.

Data Retention Period

By law we are required to retain customers' basic information (including Financial and Transaction Data) for six years after they cease being customers for tax purposes.  However, you may request for this information to be deleted.  If your account shows no activity for a prolonged period (3 years), your account will be closed and all unnecessary personal data deleted.
